Information on the processing of personal data (GDPR)

This notice explains the purposes and legal bases for processing personal data on marcinkubanski.com, how the data is used and which rights apply. The controller is Marcin Kubański. Purposes and legal bases
The site has no accounts, forms, newsletter or payments. Browsing it does not ask for a name, a phone number or other details.
Technical server logs (IP address, date and time, the requested address, browser type and the address of the page you came from) are processed to run the site, keep it secure and handle claims. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (the controller’s legitimate interest).
Email sent to markubanski@gmail.com is processed in order to reply. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where the message is about working together, also Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps before a contract). Providing the data is voluntary, but it is needed in order to receive a reply. The message does not pass through a form on this site.
Analytics cookies are used only after consent. The basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Their purpose is set out in the cookie notice. Consent can be withdrawn at any time with the cookie icon, under Article 7(3) GDPR. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before the withdrawal.
Recipients of personal data
Data is not shared with other recipients unless this is needed to run the site, the user consents, or the law requires it.
Logs stay on the server that hosts the site. The mailbox is provided by Google. After consent to analytics, visit data is sent to the provider of that service. Providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area.
The site contains links to other websites. The controller is not responsible for processing on those websites.
Is data on this site profiled?
Profiling is automated processing that produces legal effects for a person or similarly significantly affects them. Data on this site is not profiled.
What rights do users have?
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability where those rights apply, and you can object to processing. For these matters, write to the controller’s email address.
You can also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, 2 Stawki Street, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland, if you believe the processing breaks the law.
How does the controller protect personal data?
The controller protects data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and loss. Technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk are used. Access is limited to authorized persons.
How long is personal data processed?
Data is processed for as long as you use the site, and: logs for as long as they are needed to run the site, keep it secure and handle possible claims; correspondence until the matter is finished or an objection takes effect; cookies as described in the cookie notice. After those periods the data is deleted.
Entry into force and changes
This notice applies from the moment it is published on the site. The controller may change it to match the site or the law. Users are informed of changes on the site.
